I always feel Acadia National Park calling me to visit. Downeast Maine in early May 2015 was beautiful although chilly and foggy too. It was a good escape, with wanders extending from the Schoodic Peninsula, around Mount Desert Island, and to Stonington on the next peninsula to the west.

2011-10: October, Acadia
I needed an autumn visit to Acadia. The days (and the seasons) flew by, and I finally planned a long weekend at the end of October. My trip was cut from 4 to 3 days to avoid the need to drive home through snow (in October!). Any amount of time in Acadia National Park is time well spent.
