Three quick days in Death Valley... from clouds to sunshine, returning to favorite spots

A quick jump out of Death Valley brought me to Rhyolite, the home of the goldwell open air museum and some fabulous sculptures.

Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area provided a wonderful place for a late afternoon and a morning wander.

Parker River National Wildlife Refuge was calling to me, ice on one side, ocean on the other. It was a good destination for a brisk walk on a cold gray day in December.
